The Crossed Keys are a symbol of Reconciliation. The keys crossed form the “X,” the first letter in the Greek spelling of “Christ”

The dove is often used as a symbol of the Holy Spirit.

In the Catholic Church, the sacrament of penance is one of the two sacraments of healing. Jesus Christ has willed that by this means the Church should continue in the power of the Holy Spirit his work of healing and salvation
